Reisterstown Road Plaza redevelopment brings new business

Stores, businesses opening locations at Reisterstown Road Plaza as site undergoes redevelopment
BALTIMORE — Reisterstown Road Plaza in northwest Baltimore is celebrating its redevelopment with the opening of a new store.
DTLR opened its 250th store at the plaza.
This is the first time in 20 years that the plaza is back in local ownership.
“We’re excited to service the community not only with products they can buy but giving back in the surrounding area,” said Tremayne Lipscomb, director of community outreach for DTLR.
Mayor Brandon Scott grew up in northwest Baltimore and said seeing the plaza make a comeback is a win for the city.
“Everyone has memories,” Scott said. “I have memories of going to the movie theatre here. Just being here and seeing all the stores, it’s a place where people can come and see the renovations. We’re just very appreciative they happened.”
Tide Realty Capitol owns the plaza. While there are still vacant storefronts, Tide hopes to change that.
